Students begin at white belt and progress to black belt with grading at every belt level.
Fitness only classes are perfect for students wanting to get in shape with mobility, flexibility, strength and conditioning techniques. These classes can be tailored to meet a students goals using a variety of forms and techniques from Yoga, Gymnastics, Dance, Calisthenics and Martial Arts.
What is Hapkido
Our classes are based on the Korean Martial Art of Hap Ki Do. Master Valentino has been a practitioner, demonstrator and teacher of this method for over 40 years and holds a 7 Dan Black belt along with Master level teachers certifications and letters of appointment.
Hapkido is a well-rounded art involving kicking, punching, striking, rolling, break falls, joint manipulation, grappling and throwing. It also requires physical conditioning, mental focus and the cultivation of inner energy (Ki).
“Ki” and "mind over matter" training consists of breathing and isometric exercises designed to help students cultivate “ki” flow, inner strength and focus to assist and enhance defensive technique in times of need.
Master Valentino's training, certification and martial arts lineage can be traced back to the founder of Hapkido "Grand Master Choi Yong Sul" and is recognized by the Canadian/Korean Hap Ki Do, Kum Moo Do association.
