Hapkido class description 

Classes follow a traditional Hapkido workout with a comprehensive warm-up, stretch and conditioning routine designed to progressively build flexibility, strength and balance, along with breathing and isometric exercises intended to develop inner power (Ki) and sharpen mental focus. Students are introduced to a wide range of kicks, strikes and stance work that can be applied in studio training as well as in multi-attacker (street) situations. Instruction also includes agility and mobility techniques presented through jumping, rolling and break-fall practice to improve movement confidence and resilience. Hapkido self-defence, control and joint-lock techniques are taught with an emphasis on practical methods for escaping and evading common grabs, holds and attacks encountered in real-world scenarios. This structured class curriculum guides practitioners from white belt through to black belt, requiring students to meet specific grading requirements and pass tests at each level for belt advancement.

Fitness Classes

From flexibility and mobility to strength and conditioning, this class can be tailored to meet each student's individual needs and goals. Get fit and stay fit with a wide variety of techniques and training exercises drawn from yoga, calisthenics, gymnastics, dance, and martial arts. Beginner to advanced students are welcome.

Private Class (one-on-one)    

Private classes are one-on-one sessions with Valentino and can be tailored to fit an individual’s specific needs. The classes may follow our traditional Hapkido martial art format or place greater emphasis on fitness exercises, flexibility, mobility, and agility, depending on the student’s goals and preferences.

Semi-Private Class (2 - 4 student Groups) 

Semi-private classes are designed for students who want to train alongside others while still receiving the focused instruction that comes with a small-group setting. Semi-private sessions are ideal for friend groups or families who want to work out together and share the learning experience. Classes follow the Traditional Hapkido format but can also be adapted to emphasize particular areas of martial arts technique or specific fitness goals.

1 hour class
